this manga is really fascinating to me, I can’t explain why it’s so captivating. I think the art really gives it a vibe that you don’t often see in yuri works, for one, but now I feel like we’re approaching some interesting character dynamics as well

I think this is the fascinating part of the story so far. Neither one seems really aware of the dynamics they are playing at (or how they are reversed from you'd expect based on their designs).
