God, I hope Weiss slaps away that outstretched hand, like “why the FUCK would I need your help, peasant”, and saves himself.

What's the plan for saving Weiss here exactly? I don't even think Weiss needs saving...
But he might need to save the dude who jumped off the cliff on his own.

How nice of gravity and momentum to allow them to have these moments...
Manga would be boring if IRL physics were actually applied to them. All those saving scenes where heroine falls off a cliff, gets pushed down the stairs, trips over her own feet, how would manga protagonists be supposed to save/rizz them, if physics were working properly?

Allen's secret skill copying the skills of others which he uses to copy Weiss's flight magic he learned from Karta. He doesnt reveal this till later though as when he was about to reveal it to Weiss they hear screams and the roar of a dragon. Yes this leads into a tag team match of Allen+Weiss vs a dragon. The dragon's presence is also why those wolves were so desperate to kill them instead of fleeing as it was their sole chance at a meal.
Weiss is also too exhausted from 3 days of fighting with no rest to actually do much now either

I don't recall the original hero showing a fucking lick of magical ability outside of "make sword/body stronger" so i'm curious as to what the hell his plan is here... I mean, sure, the setup seems to be something obvious like "they fall into the ravine together and have to learn to coexist to some degree in order to climb back out" but usually the setup'd be a bit more sensical than "one half of the pair chucks themselves off the ledge for no logical reason" lol. This isn't exactly a "grab them with one hand while holding on to the ledge for dear life" amount of distance, here- bro is several meters away horizontally and further still vertically by the time you'll reach him, dumbass! You're not even gonna be able to grab him and slow your fall by stabbing the cliff face or whatever, that shit's so sheer the first piece of terrain you'll be able to reach is the ground! Guess all we can depend on is the setting's original hero being able to pull off the type of asspull reserved only for a setting's original hero, huh? I don't intend to come off so negatively but all of this being caused by such a genuinely stupid sequence of events that's so much dumber than usual is just... wow, lol. I initially forgave them not finishing off an enemy because they don't instantly disappear and everyone involved is tired/injured, it makes sense that a bunch of kids might let their guards down when they really shouldn't, but then... the wolf doesn't lunge or bite & startle her over the edge or anything like that, it fucking hip checks her for some reason? Why? Just as a final "fuck you" from god? Not to mention Weiss was basically acting like he was fine moments ago in the previous chapter, I don't see how the realization he was just gonna keep falling would manage to arrive in anyone else's mind before seeing he's way too far away to catch, but... nah, go for it dude, make him need to find a way to stop both of you from splattering at the bottom instead of just himself lol, great thinking!

It just feels a bit more... contrived... than this series has been so far, you know? At least unless they're about to completely subvert my prediction & reintroduce the character who can fly to come rescue their asses before it happens, or something like that...

Pretty sure with the number of beatings Weiss gets from Milk, falling from that height wont do much to him. Chapter 5 page 35 - Hit by Milk with enough force to submerge half his body in solid ground.

There's a reason why Allen was the hero and protagonist of the story. He has multiple secret abilities. One of them is the copy ability in which he can copy the skills and magic of others. He hates using it as he feels it's stealing the hard work of others, but eventually comes to realize being able to protect the ones he cares about is bigger than his ego. Weiss is included in this group of people to him, despite how often they clash with each other. Also Allen's secret abilities was part of how he was able to beat Cynthia and Lilith in the 2v2 despite supposedly being weaker than them at the time. Allen will copy the flight magic Weiss learned from Karta and use it to save himself and Weiss.

Alot of things will become clear within a few chapters. The reason why the wolves were attacking as if their lives depended on it without retreating. Why there were so many wolves together in the first place. Along with why Allen does the things he does and why he believes in Weiss so much.

Time to keep talking you two, if you're lucky then talking will be free action here as well like JoJo, which will prolong your fall
