I didn't not expect more than one paraphilia so that's on me for being so scandalized lol.

On the other hand, as soon as the watersports dog said he was a german shepherd, I was very sure he had some kind of connection to the police especially with his cynicism regarding humans.
I gotta admit, as much as I don't go for furry characters, I like Paru's work. I think she's very talented at setting up very engaging thriller narratives, and them being furries isn't just a kink or aesthetic but impacts the story mechanics themselves.

Loli/shota stuff is honestly way freakier to me and most weebs look past that, so I think I can handle this much xD

Things are escalating pretty quickly here. It feels like if she wanted to, this could be another 1-2 volume short series with only one major arc. But I want moreeee. The premise is so good, there's so much potential in the worldbuilding, and the characters are so dynamic and unique. Paru is really cooking.

Usually, at this point, I'd think this Tsuna-guy would be the guy I'd despise. But this time, albeit I think 'watersport' is beyond my interest, it is how the "animal/canine culture" is. While Taika thinks to be friendly by butt-snuffing, Tsuna rejects the concept of being friendly (maybe because he's taught that way in the police), and instead showing dominance, as still-animal-minded-Taika would understand.

Taika: "Let's be friend!"
Tsuna: "No. I OWN YOU!"

Although, in human world, such dominance is usually shown through bullying. And if they're both human/oid with human morals, I usually will mark Tsuna as the bully and despise him.

Icky.
Not a fan of this „high shock value“-style of storytelling.

Beastars (+Beast Complex) is still one of my favorite manga ever, but since then Paru has only disappointed me. The two short manga were underwhelming, Sanda didn‘t click with me at all, dropped it after 40 chapters or so.
And now this…. icky manga.

Still hoping for a Beastars sequel. There was still a lot of potential with the sea folk.

He seem so pure that I don't think he killed his owner. I think old man died and started to eat him.

Knowing Itagaki-sensei, we're gonna find out there's some sort of false animalperson serial killer running about trying to kill people who like their pets too much because he was treated like a dog by his shit parents while the actual dog was loved and cared for or something and honestly I'm 100% for it

I forgot to say...

Tsuna is an elite police dog who has captured dozens of criminals, right?

...what's the odds of him sniffing Ao's Dad homicide out of her?

This Tsuna guy gives me the feeling that he is gonna be the Louis of this new universe. I mean, look at his face in his introduction page, as well as his overall cockiness and superiority complex.

Also, love the L/Kira dynamic we are being promised here.
