Nice start, I wonder if the progression, story and side characters make it different from other generic manga

  • shouts "molester!" In the middle of a crowded train
  • "secretly" helped her

:lul:
Actually, yes. He didn’t point. He didn’t stope the molester from runniNG away. He didn’t single out the victim. He just vaguely shouted. The only reason the molester was outed was because he ran away, but it’s highly probable that she, the victim, was never identified. People started noticing the molester only after he started running, putting some distance from the victim already, so yeah. There’s a LOT of victim blaming that can happen, and that make it VERY tricky to do anything about this kind of thing. What he did was pretty much the “epitome“ of traditional Japanese help.

There's nothing secret about shouting in the middle of a crowded train. Everyone knows you did it.

The “secret“ is not that he did it. The secret is who the victim is. Someone careless would have brought attention to the culprit AND the victim, but here he redirected all the attention to himself and the culprit, making sure she wouldn’t get any of the ”shame” of being a victim.
The focus of “he secretly helped her” is NOT the help being secret, but that he helped her while keeping the secret that she’s a victim.
