Personally i think mosaics are cringe and distracting but hey if the actors specifically choose to include them or work for companies that use them then that’s their right to privacy (however little it is)

The actors don't choose to include them (in Japan's case) it's because of some dumbshit cuck law that the Americans imposed on them after WW2. That's also why publicly released h-manga and dōjinshi have mosaic censorship or stupid dumb little black rectangles covering up tiny bits of it and making it look like vandalism ("uncensored" versions are either the originals or far more commonly someone redrawing and reshading things while they're translating it)

The more interesting aspect of censorship actually lies in voice acting. Some agencies REALLY don't like the idea of their talents using naughty language. So if you play a spicy visual novel you might observe a character saying "o***o" (bleeped but you get just enough audio to contextually know what the word is) and then another character in the same game just saying "omanko" without the bleep. That's because the voice acting agency behind the voice of one of the characters has the game creator / publisher sign a contract that obligates them to edit their talent's audio in that way for the final product.

lol given the censorship law i wonder the legality of buying something like that, copyright issues aside, altho master tape implies it's from someone on the crew, wonder if they'd also get sued or fined if they sold that unless they were the directors themselves.

surprised the mosaic stuff in jp hasn't been updated. So does that mean OF models in JP are also censored or is it a loophole bc it's a western company and they can post whatever they want and make a shitload more money b/c of that, unless ppl in jp can't buy it/access it online (altho tons of JP ppl use twitter and that def has uncensored stuff lol) versus them going to a brothel and getting a good look tho idk how many ppl would be disappointed tho versus enjoying the act
