Personally i think mosaics are cringe and distracting but hey if the actors specifically choose to include them or work for companies that use them then that’s their right to privacy (however little it is)

The actors don't choose to include them (in Japan's case) it's because of some dumbshit cuck law that the Americans imposed on them after WW2. That's also why publicly released h-manga and dōjinshi have mosaic censorship or stupid dumb little black rectangles covering up tiny bits of it and making it look like vandalism ("uncensored" versions are either the originals or far more commonly someone redrawing and reshading things while they're translating it)

The more interesting aspect of censorship actually lies in voice acting. Some agencies REALLY don't like the idea of their talents using naughty language. So if you play a spicy visual novel you might observe a character saying "o***o" (bleeped but you get just enough audio to contextually know what the word is) and then another character in the same game just saying "omanko" without the bleep. That's because the voice acting agency behind the voice of one of the characters has the game creator / publisher sign a contract that obligates them to edit their talent's audio in that way for the final product.
