@Zextrace idk about you, but I know for sure it'll go that path, and for me it makes it feel "cheap" with all the Them vs Us we had for quite sometime regarding this topic.

So you're going to kill innocent people and destroy an entire world while under the assumption that it might save your world? Thing is, l'arc, glass, and all them aren't bad people so they're going to search for the way that can both save their world, and limit casualties. Right now they only have a guess as to what will save their world from the waves.

@Zextrace idk man, I just want something that does not read as cheap "power of love/friendship triumphs them all". You know, good story telling for once.

@Zextrace Nah, you missed the point already, you CANNOT have a good story if you play the "risk-averse" game (and I am not talking about mindless killings like for some reason you keep on suggesting, I am talking about every action has consequences), period.

The original plan was for glass to kill off the heroes in Raphtalia's world so that the waves would become considerably harder to deal with and the waves would be concentrated on Raphtalia's world; thus saving Glass world. It kind of is a result of mindless killing because there is no evidence to suggest this plan would work. Now they work together to find a better solution. Call it what you will, but it makes the most sense considering their personalities; to work together They only want to save their world, not to sacrifice a different world.

Whether or not there is no consequence and everything ends in happiness and rainbows seems like something you assumed well before the story could unfold.

At this point Glass, L'Arc and Therese are a temporary working with Naofumi and his team to deal with Kyo(book vassal) during the spirit tortoise event, now they are still honoring that agreement keeping Raphtalia around but Glass would not blame Raphtalia for wanting to find her group but they need to get back to L'Arc country to plan on taking on Kyo, (they never really wanted take out Raphtalia just the heroes then let the waves do the dirty work of taking out that world and save theirs)
Given Kizuna want to not destroyed one world over another and she the Cardinal Hero she will probably put a stop to the plan of taking out the other world Heroes

there going to be outside forces discovered many chapters from now that are causing or taking advantage of the waves and want both worlds destroyed teaming up will be a good thing in the long run

TO ALL PEOPLE WHO IS SAYING THAT GLASS' GROUP IS HELPING NAOFUMI LIKE THEY ARE FRIEND NOW

First, you are wrong to say that in this chapter. ONLY GLASS that showed up to the battle, and that is to KIZUNA'S SIDE.
Second, Glass has been searching for Kizuna all the time. Don't skip things where there are no actions and say bullshits when you didn't read properly.
Third, the fact that Rishia is with Kizuna and didn't fight each other means that Kizuna is not in enemy relationship with Rishia.
Fourth, Rishia is Naofumi's comrade, so it's given for them to think that Kizuna is also not in enemy relationship with Naofumi.
Fifth, they have the same enemy right now that they thought as "bad person" and really is a bad person. Of course they can truce for the time being and discuss about all the things happened later.
And you are all too late, they already did fight together against Kyo.

I know its a little late to ask this at this point but why is it naofumi, filo, and raphtalia all start going threw a mental breakdown since coming to this world. Its like all there experience in their world disappeared and I know figuratively speaking it did but still. Did that world have some kind of mental influence on them also?

But it literally shows her having the katana in the previous chapter. This chapter wasn't to say that she got it, it was to explain how she got it.

Mental breakdown. Well, Filo was enslaved by that circus act guy...Naofumi has separation anxity when he's not with Raphtalia. And Raphtalia is worried about Naofumi.
