I would very much like this princess to actually develop from this misunderstandings rather than just leaving her as is. An approach to character development that I never read anywhere... not that I read much of anything.

She reminds me of bone daddy tho ngl.

You know, I really have to wonder how exactly she ends up at the guillotine after this. She's clearly shown enough effort to at least let her get away with life imprisonment or something, right?

@RamenRider Way I see it is, Rafina had no specific grudge against Mia, she just concluded she was "not a worthy ruler" and basically dismissed her from existence. Tiona had a grudge against her, but the revolution clearly had much more deep-seated issues as the cause (namely, the chronic mismanagement of the Empire's funds and resulting plague and famine). Previous timeline Mia was just a figurehead that got executed because she was a noble and she did nothing (excepting some petty cruelty), right OR wrong- the Marie Antoinette of fantasy, basically. As for Rafina being responsible for discipline in HER school, that's true (and she probably would have taken action regardless) but the matter clearly reflects badly on the Tearmoon Empire as a whole (and Mia as the ranking local representative in specific).

@Deathhappens
If you really wanna know...
It can't be helped.
Seriously. That's his whole reason.
Everyone including the general populace is petitioning for her to live. Multiple people like her maid and Abel have been slaughtered in rescue attempts and so on.

Sion: But you see, I HAVE to kill her. The people demand blood to compensate for the suffering the empire's nobility put them through.

Sion is a straight up sociopath.

Yeah, I don't buy that. Besides

A) We know her maid definitely survives until after her death, so she clearly isn't slain in any rescue attempt

B) According to Mia herself, those of the general populace imprisoning her are violent and hateful (beatings, stealing her hairpin, tossing rotten fruit in her cell), so clearly she doesn't have the goodwill of the people in that timeline. The Dauphins of the French royal family had loyal supporters among the people as well- that doesn't mean the majority didn't want to see them beheaded.

Seriously, this is probably the number one series, where every chapter, the MC goes through some good character development, which is something many, many redo, reincarnation, isekai, villainess, etc. can't even do during its whole run time. Even if it is accidental half the time.

But man, I love how the artist draws Mia's derp faces. Soo gud.

@TheGodEmperor She helped the residents of the slum area which would only make them loyal to her, not the rest of the empire. This just gives her +1 reputation. No one even knows about the plague that will never happen, so +0 reputation. So, in the grand scheme of things, she hasn't really gone that far with stopping the guillotine. She only solved one of the factors. She has yet to solve the famine or the civil war(?).

@MangaLover6 Mia has seriously high amounts of respect/fear for Rafina. Therefore she calls her -sama. Rafina, meanwhile, feels like Mia is another student, ergo, she remains moderately friendly, hence "-san". Besides, the titles are only titles in name. Rafina has more power than Mia, being the "saint" of the continental religion.

@hedgemoney but the story already said that she's loved by the people now :O cause of her helping the poor with the food/orphanage (or whatever) and the plague.

Rafina is either untrustworthy or really stupid. Does the face on page 23 really look like a face of some far seeing mastermind?

I really hope this becomes a revenge murder story, as it is the moralizing is getting to intolerable levels.

@nrexplain Nah, probably neither. Rafina just became infected with Mia-itis because she failed to wear a mask before speaking in close proximity to Mia.
