This is one of my favorite manga. I'm glad it's back. I wonder if the author took a break or something.
The artist quit. They said they couldn't handle the deadlines and pressure, and were going to quit. I guess they changed their mind? They had to apologize like crazy, they were talking mad shit on the publisher

Also a number of he/she or his/her inversions, like the translator didn't know anything about the source material apart from the single chapter in the commission request. Normally it should be the commissioner's responsibility to quality check the result before release, if not else in order to ensure they're getting what they're paying for...
Hi, not trying to be disrespectful but can you point out such instances where pronouns have been inverted. Screenshot_2025-11-15-01-39-40-24_40deb401b9ffe8e1df2f1cc5ba480b12.jpgScreenshot_2025-11-15-01-39-30-47_40deb401b9ffe8e1df2f1cc5ba480b12.jpg
I got a summary of the pronounce we did use. Unless you mean Polidoro was a female.

I am not the translator, so help me out here.

Appreciate the attempt, but you're going to confuse people with your incorrect summary.

Caroline von Bosel is a regional lord and subject to Queen Liesenlotte. Pretty much exactly like Faust. Caroline is not a princess.

You find out more about Caroline's circumstances later.

No this is not a filler arc and no Faust will not be returning to decide who he marries. It's setting up story beats that are realized much later.

Faust is not a duke, and he is not a desirable partner at all outside of Villendorf and like 4 people in Anhalt at the moment. He's considered ugly and he's a small time lord of a territory with few redeeming qualities.

Let people who actually enjoy (and understand) the story provide summaries to people who ask.

so help me out here.
Maybe just Page 22 Panel 4. "Ah right, he's the sentimental type" is probably referring to the knight screaming about remaining in the boy's heart forever. That's a sentimental notion as opposed to a carnal notion (the 2nd Princess Guard are notoriously horny).

If the kidnapped ones were Polidoro's, he'd think the same as his highness
Since Polidoro is the only male character of any prominence in this manga, and since he's not a royal so he couldn't be a "highness", and since the first "he" already refers to him in the sentence, I strongly suspect that his highness in this sentence refers to the princess, the short girl in the helmet.

Oh yeah, this manga! I was wondering what happened to it...

It definitely has one of the funniest ways to pass the Bechdel test: pull a full reflection of medieval gender norms, and then decrease the male population to a tenth of normal to boot.

Well, this is unique to the manga. So I'm sure part of the disjointed pacing is because of that. So this is how they'll handle it. Not a fan of the change, but I guess this allows more personality in the guard to be given since we skipped a bit.

Faust is not a duke, and he is not a desirable partner at all outside of Villendorf and like 4 people in Anhalt at the moment. He's considered ugly and he's a small time lord of a territory with few redeeming qualities.
To be fair, we know the majority of the 2nd Princess group actually find Faust moderately attractive, though that opinion is. . . well, heavily swayed by his position as both a Lord of anything and a breathing male. And any other attempts at marriage is literally being stopped by the fact that the 4 people who like him in Anhalt are also the 4 most powerful women in Anhalt. So Zabine and group are the only ones we hear about actively wanting him, besides the 4.

Not that anything else you say isn't relevant, but his level of attractiveness is a bit higher in Anhalt than he realizes, even if he is the inverse of most tastes in males in Anhalt. And honestly, the point is mostly moot anyway to both the reader and Faust.
