I dont think if yoy change the genders this chapter makes sense... they are behaving like women here and the warrior culture here is True too. Zabine tô me looks more like a mercenary capitan , they all behave like women tô me. When give power are as degen as any other men kkkk... They're actively retreating across the border.

As for the "You're dead anyway" argument. They're not. Sure the village is done for, but the peasants can still move on to other villages, get absorbed into their communities.

In the princess's defense, she is too young to form the qualities necessary to lead the knights. It also looks like her sisters are ignoring her and not forcing her to grow up early. The fact that all her knights are parodies of Centurii-chan's characters doesn't help either.

While the art isn't bad specifically, the previous artist made it all feel far more serious, this artist almost gives everything a comical air to it.
What really drags the art down is the lack of rendering, compared to the previous artist, and the terrible layouts - the panel to panel reading experience has taken a serious hit.

What a shame...
Hopefully the art picks up as the artist goes along.

That being said, the art is much cleaner in the volume release, as can be seen in the official English translation.
