Anyway, yeah, this is basically just commentary on male virginity taken from the perspective of this world, so it's about female virginity with the same societal pressures. In turn, this means males of this world probably value their virginity, even if there's no actual way to definitively know (yes, I realize others pointed out that the woman's hymen can be broken through wholly nonsexual means... but society still uses whether its intact or not as an indicator of female virginity, which at least makes more sense than male virginity which just means you stuck it into a woman's holes, which... how do you frakking prove that?).

Amongst many male social circles, they tend to exaggerate their "sexual experiences" and ostracize those that don't have anything to contribute to the discussion, leading to "virgin" being used in a derogatory manner. Those, often teenage, boys then get all caught up in their head and feelings and, much like Ichikawa right now, feel useless and lame. Letting these negative thoughts and feelings of worthlessness take over then leads to joining "incel" groups and becoming an "incel".
