This is a bit heavier than the average grievance posted here, but like 10 years ago I found out I had a Balanced Translocation; which means a piece of one chromosome (the 20th? I can't remember) broke off and flew onto another one, resulting in me being unable to have kids. From what I understand, any attempt will likely result in a miscarriage, and if a child is born it may have health issues. Soooo, yeah.

But, honestly, I never wanted kids anyway; that's why it didn't bother me for so long. But, recently I was thinking that if I never knew about it, and ended up having one, what would have happened? Just a thought, though. The likelihood of that happening was slim.

People often place a lot of importance on having kids. It's understandable, as every living thing is hardwired to want kids (or "offspring", for a broader term). And I also get that the 'joy of raising kids' is something that is supposed to be fulfilling to the point that it makes life worth living or whatever, mainly due to the fact that, like I said before, we're hardwired to want that sort of thing.

But I personally say fuck that shit boiii. As humans, we have extended consciousness, which can allow us to recognize how our desires and expectations (and by extension, our societies' desires/expectations) are shaped by our biological impulses. And once we do that, we can attempt to break free of them, finding the things that really matter to us and bring us fulfillment.

tons of people can't have kids on their own, but that doesn't mean you can't have kids. When you'll feel like you're ready to be a father, just buy one, steal one, or if you really are the boring type, adopt one.
If internet taught me right, there are tons of milf near my area that are ready to know me, i bet at least a few of them have already kids ready to be fathered .

You know how we can sometimes decipher what pando says? Well, there was this guy today that was attending our presentations about november 1st and 2nd, I guess he's at least a year ahead of us or in another group, but jesus christ I couldn't understand what he said for the life of me, the same thing happened in another project and luckily the rest of my team managed to recover, pando is understandable 80% of the time, but this dude was something else. The worst part is that he liked to make shit last longer by either talking a lot (which made his message more complicated) or asking multiple questions in a row.
