but why wouldn't she ask to be cremated? didn't she know she would become a monster?Wow that transformation looked brutal. How freaky that it happened about a night after he died. Fish girl (can’t think of her name, but the one with Michika) her transformation seemed more ‘peaceful’. She died, she was thrown into the ocean as per her wishes and then transformed.
Kuku (that’s her name, I remember now) probably didn’t. Tarao, the kid who died first, was cremated at the school. I think it was because of protocol but it could also be tradition as cremation is very common in Japan. Since he was cremated he didn’t turn into a monster (hiruko). All that was left over was some kinda ball/core. So unless Kuku saw another one of those kids turn into a monster in front of her eyes, she probably wouldn’t know they themselves become those monsters after they die. She was aware it was the same disease as Tarao however and thus realized her days were numbered.but why wouldn't she ask to be cremated? didn't she know she would become a monster?
The girl who’s body the director took over, Nata. So her body is the one with the short black hair in this chapter, Mikura Manaka. Mikura was also the one that used to travel with Maru before dying due to the same hiruko disease.Wow. Do we know who robot-san was before brain transplantation? I’m bad with character names in this story.
Also reminded me of the Vodou Zombi, where'd they chemically lobotomize you if you pulled a stunt they didn't like, and have you work menial labour until they felt like letting you off the hook."We need a more ethical alternative to the death penalty. Any ideas?"
Guy putting down a dog-eared copy of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream: Okay this is gonna sound crazy, but hear me out...
basically warhammer 40k servitors, for which brains of criminals, mentally ill and disabled people are used. and that is a practice of an openly fascistic society..."We need a more ethical alternative to the death penalty. Any ideas?"

Ooh that makes sense now. You’d think robobro here would feel a little vengeful towards the director, assuming they ever made contact with one another. Though knowing that the old elites didn’t plan to just toss out the kids’ brains after stealing their bodies makes them all somewhat less evil. Learning what happened to Mikura between the two timelines will be very interesting, because closer to the present with Maru she seemed more of a good character than a bad one.The girl who’s body the director took over, Nata.
