Seems like it was maybe a miscommunication or false alarm, as chapter 31 is up on here now with no indication that it's a teaser to move to Comick.

It would be a jerk move if a girl confesses to him and he says okay despite already having a girlfriend. It's not like the new girl would automatically know he's already, supposedly, in a relationship. I reckon in practice it might have been more vague, like he was frequently hanging out with one girl at a time, and they all just assumed they are in a romantic relationship already. They would have only learned the truth eventually. Who knows. If the series explained it earlier, I've forgotten it.

The way he shows some negativity and is trying to avoid women seems to imply that it's more females being forceful rather than it being consensual on his end....
