This story was okay until I noticed that it was just an endless cycle of "save the day -> get scolded for being amazing -> increase harem -> save the day".

It's not like the scolding is even constructive, and it's not like the harem members are going to stay relevant to the story after the arc they get saved. In fact, I'd say the parents of his harem get more screentime than any of his harem members after they get added...

Pretty much been the same cycle of actions on repeat for over several chapters no kind of change.
