Have they, though? She just said she's not happy being ruler or with Euphie taking on the role instead. Don't get me wrong, it's good that she talked with her parents.
I think
Exactly, the burden that she hasn't able to openly share with anyone and instead she met brute force and head-on all this time, putting a brave and smiling face, is finally able to be shared to her parents.

kind of explains it - and I guess it would be more applicable if we assume that "the conversation" happened with her parents in more detail off-screen, to be touched on later by the narrative itself.

Yes, Anis still has some "stuff" to contend with (putting it mildly), but between finally opening up about everything weighing on her and this upcoming conversation about her biggest secret with the person closest to her, I think it's safe to say that - if not resolved, then very much in the process of being resolved.

Wait... Does this world not have a moon?

I think the implication was that people went there.

If this world has a moon (pretty sure there's a panel somewhere that depicts it during nighttime), it might as well be window dressing for the sky, thought of more as a abstract fixture above their lives than a concrete object that exists in tangible reality and that could be directly interacted with in such a manner.

I was expecting she'd tell the spirit too, no? If there's any last hope to get Euphie out of this, it'd be isekai shenanigans.
I don't think that would work - Euphie has to form the spirit contract, to assume the requisite authority and thus take the throne independent of the nobility's approval/wishes.

If she doesn't, then we're back to where we were before this fight. Saying "but Isekai Shenanigans" doesn't really solve anything, at least from where I'm sitting, when it comes to royal succession in the context of the current political climate.
The nobility wouldn't care about some magic-less princess claiming to have memories from another life in a different universe, when all they are focusing on is their own power, and placing importance on magical-based eligibility for rule and their spirit-based religion (which is why Euphie making the Contract beats the nobility in multiple ways).

Unless you're referring to something else.

I love when an isekai'd/reincarnated mc is able to tell their partner/friends the whole truth especially when their identity is so mixed in with their past life rather than 'I am my present fantasy world self with some useful otherworld memories'. it shows how intimate and trusting the relationship has become

More in the realm of retaining sanity after the contract, or convincing the spirit to cooperate with something that will change the kingdom's perception more quickly.

Ah, understood.
I believe I remember that the 'loss of sanity' aspect was from the sheer amount of time passing upon becoming immortal, to the point that the Contract-wielder loses all connection to other people, and by association their own humanity. Watching enough generations die, and people take on the same sort of importance in one's scope of things as insects do, for us.
That's not something that can really be helped, in that case.

As far as the spirit intervening with the governmental system of the kingdom in a direct fashion - that would be a step further than even having Euphie be "adopted" by the Crown and then taking the throne for herself as an immortal Contract-wielder who can use the Spirit connection and her own magical potency to silence any dissent from nobility. Euphie is already in-effect strongarming the system and forcing her way through, just on a level of "legitimacy" that ties the nobility's hands, especially as there's precedent with the Spirit herself being the ...I believe 2nd ruler of the kingdom upon its founding.
Whether the Spirit would be ruling herself or not, I think any further interference would be too much for the nobility, and could risk a breaking point if Euphie and Anis try to force large-scale changes through the "credibility" of the Spirit. The nobility are still very much self-interested, and would only bend the knee so much to an outside power mucking up their current influence of things before they'd retaliate - with the worst case being open civil war, which ...is bad.

But if it hasn't been touched on already, maybe it'll come up in later chapters, as to why the Spirit can't do something. It might be as simple as "it's not in my interest" from the Spirit's perspective to go interfering in mortal statecraft, and the Contract is simply the most she's willing to do.

But, who knows. The other side of it is that, either way, having something come up now would kind of invalidate the whole fight bewteen Anis and Euphie that just took place. And both are intelligent enough that I'd wager one of them would have thought of some way of resolving the succession issue using the Spirit, regardless of the Isekai Angle.

Heh that's funny, I was just thinking while reading this chapter how this being an isekai has had basically no bearing on the plot ever since a few chapters in.

Let's go, next chapter it's gonna be a big one, a really important one.

Anis is only like this, and she has always been like this, because it's an isekai, it's important, but we can't read her mind in all the previous chapters, so time for her to explain herself.

The spirit already knows (or is implied to), right? Well, she doesn't outright say "you're an isekai person", but when she's talking to Anis, she says "you don't have any mana because you're a visitor" (and then Anis flashes back to the dragon saying the same, though the TL back at the start used the word "traveler" from the dragon). She then explains "visitor" in terms of just how it affects the world (not having any magic), but it seems like the clear idea here is that travelers/visitors in the way that spirits+dragons talk about them are souls from outside of the world, and spirits/dragons would know the implication there.

Imagine the conversation if it was realistic.

Euphie: "So your previous world, what was it like?"
Anis: "In my previous life I remember buildings as big of mountains, built from glass, metal and stone. There were also self driving machines, metal boats as big as castles and they even had a flying machines. The world was round and you can go around it in a matter of days..."
Euphie: "...To be honest, most of that is hard to believe..."
Anis: "Oh, and that world had a moon and people were able to go there and plant a flag."
Euphie: "..... What? ...."
"They also had this virtual network that allowed them to instantly communicate with others far away or close to them. And even buy stuff on! :D "
