well, Euphie and Anis are on the same page at last, it would seem.
I guess I'll have to eventually read the novels since I've had the broad strokes fully spoiled for me already anyway, but I do think it's a relief that the big fight between them has been resolved, whatever one's feelings on the catalysts and the rationale/sensibility behind it.
(And I've since come around to it being the "proper way" for it all to both come about, and to resolve. I still deeply sympathize with Anis and her whole deal, but I'm now of the opinion that Euphie needed to both become Spirit King, and needed to win the duel between them and stop Anis from following through with her own whims/plans.)

I do look forward to seeing how they team up and take on the general system of government that currently exists, though. And how long it takes before Euphie starts feeling the "humanistic ramifications" of her choice to initiate the Contract. That's still a very real issue for Anis at this point, and I imagine they'll still need to confront the reality of Euphie's decision and what it means for them both.
