It does get kind of funny when every named skill or action that someone with an occupation of “evil magician” did starts with the word “evil”.

Makes me think that maybe he has an “evil lunch”, “evil coffee break”, or “evil shower” everyday. :ROFLMAO:

It's funny how Fran departed for the Ulmut dungeon way back in chapter 27, but she heard the mountain path was boring, so she chose to travel by boat instead, and she encountered so many distractions along the way that we're already on chapter 85, and she still hasn't arrived at Ulmut which has answers to all the questions she has about black cat evolution.

I mean, he did kind of give away some useful hints for after this low-tier boss is defeated. There's some arbitrary "divine punishment" that should not even be affecting the descendants which can clearly be removed, and he named the labyrinth, so some research is all they need to find the labyrinth. Just kill the little old bastard and his oversized boy toy, and go find that labyrinth. Easy.

Well, it is treated as a separate element of magic, similar to Fire Magic, Wind Magic, Dark Magic, etc.

It would be funnier if it didn't have parallels in the ongoing war propaganda: We're supposed to stop feeling sorry for the hundreds of thousands of Evil Mothers and Evil Girls and Evil Boys who have been starved, bombed, denied water and shelter, etc because they'll eventually give birth to Evil Babies who will become Evil Men and they should all just be wiped off the map.

I miss when we called it what it is, genocide.

(Sorry, I was the one who started mocking the Evil Magician who uses Evil Stones to make Evil Men who will teabag everyone with their Evil Nads… but I found it more than a little disturbing that in this chapter they say his "race" is "Evil Human". It's the colonialist trope of "orcs" as a substitute race who's okay to exploit and kill because they're all "evil" or "inferior", turned up to 73. And as I was complaining above, it's made its way back into reality again.)

Well, it is treated as a separate element of magic, similar to Fire Magic, Wind Magic, Dark Magic, etc.

Well, for instance, fire magic can consist of spells named “Inferno” or (Fran’s) “Tri-explosion”, wind magic can have spells named “Tornado” or “Hurricane”, etc.

I just find the lack of variety or rather, the persistent use of the supposed “element” kind of funny, especially when used with the word “evil”.

If it helps making you feel better at all (or taking your mind a little bit away from reality), the evil magician was quite proud and direct of his “evil” traits and the evil god he worships here. In the RPG sense, it has less of the negative connotation and more of an aspect/alignment (or element, as another commenter has pointed out above).
