Looks like a black cat to me (because black hair, my sole way to distinguish characters. both irl and in manga~ Well, that and the ear-like protrusions that look a bit like horns or hair). Maybe that is their evolution, fran so desires to achieve?

In the Web Novel in this arc there were only 5 magic stone soldiers and in the light novel only 1,

then in a future arc time travelers appear and reveal that in the original timeline there were 100 and absorbing so many magic stones made Shishou become a very powerful sword, the Zealyse of the future told the Zealyse of the past that it would be better to use the magic stones in another way causing Shishou to not strengthen so quickly, in previous chapters they showed us large numbers of magic stone soldiers which indicates that this manga is trying to represent the original timeline (I say trying because it ruined Fran, Amanda and the Demon Princess's personalities not to mention the immense amount of changes to the story that can barely be explained merely by the fact that it's a different timeline) that means that by this point Shishou must have ranked up at least 2 times and in the next chapter we could see him improving abilities beyond just getting advanced spatial magic and being able to use magic without a chant. (the skills he gained during this fight in the Novels).

zelos fall in love with murelia which is why he protect her only son but end up care for him like a father would hell he become his sword in that timeline while shishou is even crazier because his transformation in to sword is complete and he become a godsword so shishou is a godsword but not a complete one (kinda like the other godsword that giant hold which has two form) since his transformation to sword is not complete and now they try to find a way to complete his transformation without losing his humanity since fran hate that

that's technically the REAL power system in this series, spend years swinging a sword and the Sword God will give you power, spend years surrounded by Fire and the Fire God will give you power, spend years surrounded by Water and the Water God will give you power, spend years doing evil deeds and the Evil God will give you power, if you're a very powerful Beastkin the Beast God will give you even more power, if you dedicate your life to protecting others the Guardian God will give you power

the video game style system was an artificial creation of the goddess of humanity using her authority over information, war, and entertainment to protect the free will of mortals, she also created the evil beings that were hostile to the world to give people a reason to fight because like the goddess of chaos she believes that hardship motivates unity and growth (which throughout the story is continually proven to be true)
