I mean..."amounted to nothing" when it was only thanks to her stalling it to hell and back that anyone capable of actually beating it was able to arrive.

I hope she doesn't get to finish the fight, if only to give her more perspective on how capable she is, the meaning of it, and how even if she isn't the strongest, she still did admirably on a fight she was clearly out of her depth and specialty on. Would be frustrating to have her start going suicidal for this stuff before that happens, even more so with how she's been fighting non-stop for the entire night already, let alone having a fight to get into for the last 2-3 days IIRC

I don't know, I feel like it's been implied that Fran's parents were fairly competent adventurers, and that title "mother of DEMON children" doesn't seem to imply she hasn't raised some very powerful kids.

I love the realistic outcome here. Fran is strong but still young and growing as a fighter so seeing those who are older, stronger and more experienced stepping in to take the boss she was struggling with is nice to see in these things. So many authors don't let anyone but the protagonist be capable of anything when they logically should be. And more Mamanda is never a bad thing.

Well, technically this is her first true loss.

So far, she had been beaten back and heavily injured, but she & Teacher somehow always managed to defeat their opponents by themselves, with sometimes minor help from a third party.

But against this Evil God's Illegitimate Child, she was completely helpless. Neither could she properly damage it nor she could easily escape it, which all came down to her inexperience & not being powerful enough.
