I mean I don't mind the whole gender-swap thingamajig but man, this thing hurts to read in chapter 1 I don't have high hopes for this.
Starting from the beginning: Yay reincarnation cliches. That's a given so don't really care (I love you truck-kun <3)
I don't agree with some of the comments I've seen (completely), I don't think we've seen enough of her reactions to judge that she's completely become girly. That being said, you'd expect at least some form of questioning in certain scenes (page 9 specifically). On the other hand, just accepting that he's completely become a she is just weird of the reader as well. I've seen someone say "it's fantasy so our rules don't apply" or that "his brain has been practically replaced with a girls' brain" which, for me, seems to be a dishonest way of reading. You shouldn't just accept everything you see, some form of logic should still apply at least. What I mean to say is that don't just swat away the criticisms of the manga with "Of course its just fiction so nothing really matters anyway" (to quote another reader).
That said, this is only a minor problem with the first chapter. What I really hated was how, in page 6, the heroine gets hit on by pigman. Page 6!. To make the matters worse the interaction and the dialogue is so artificial. I don't know if it's just me but after seeing that I lost all hope in the author. It's obviously made to force the "hero protects heroine" right into our faces and squeeze in that blush event. I don't read manga to be toyed around with by the author like I'm an idiot who needs to be shown fanservice to be hooked. I expect at least some form of effort.
With all that being said, I still have some form of hope left. Not enough to keep reading but enough to hold out hope that it gets better. So does it? Please tell me that it at least improves somewhat.
Opinion at the time of writing: barely a 5/10. I wanna say 4 but chapter 1 is only 9 pages so don't want to decide too rashly either
