even in the webnovel, this one always had some issues with things like pacing or the appropriateness of events with the characters age. Even up to this point, everyone would just kinda treat the mc as a grown man or something. My main criticism with this one was both how young they are when everything starts and the need to condense everything in the story to a continuous rush once it starts so all these big events and battles happen that reshape both countries before they even reach 12. It's also bothersome due to the harem that forms. First girl here is fine, even interesting. They have the exact same circumstances, even the same age. They can have interesting moments where the differences between their mental and physical age causes confusion in their interactions. There's also an aspect of holy magic that affects both of them that makes their bodies mature faster, catching up with their minds and being less awkward. Problem is, aside from...I think the 4th or 5th member, this doesn't apply to the others. One of them has something a little similar and is a different kind of reincarnator without any memories so mentally still a child. Others are fully just kids in every aspect. Mc would really piss me off sometimes. He shouldn't be doing shit like looking up his classmate's skirts and blurting out the color of their panties...this happening while the classmates are still 12 and he, on top of his mental age, has a body that looks about 16 or older. There's also some bits/jokes that would be fine, though still kinda awkward, if they were just older. Like their teachers going to check out a bar with the two boys in his group that don't have a fiance only for them all to come back depressed when the find out it's a gay bar. Still 12 by the way. Or when the other guy with a fiance in their group keeps getting tied up bondage style and put on display by his fiance after she discovers that that's what she's into. Again, both still 12.

Author seriously needs to just stop and let time pass.

Personally, I'm more stuck on how shit the guards are. Like, I think Ike might have better showings at age 6~7, solo, than the supposedly trained adults have as a group. Mind you, I guess they just didn't bother training in the labyrinth, since it's overflowing due to not being culled?

And children's body proportions, plot, world building... Although, I don't really dislike the writing, I can fell some sort of heartwarmness to it, like, there are some small stuff on focus that would be awesome as little details in a better planned story.

I guess we can't blame the plot and world building on the mangaka, since this seems to be a LN/WN adaptation.

Also, that anklet equipment was just an excuse to draw the feet of a child, like what am I reading and why am I continuing?

This reminded me of how elementary school kids would make up stories somehow.

The story does have a certain naive appeal that makes it refreshing. For instance, I like how it's hard for me to tell whether the author intended the fight against the goblin king to look epic or comedic with how it was won with just a single blast of magic.
Only occasionally do you see some more conventional elements, like the douchebag noble stuff or the gratuitous fanservice, as if to remind you that this is indeed manga that you're reading.

This feels and looks like it was written for 5 year olds...
