I know they put him in class F so they can make a ton of these “looked down upon” events for the plot, but man it really is such a cliche huh.

At least it’s been pretty fun so far, glad the teacher is mixing it up with him. And the number one S-rank is realizing how absolutely cracked he is.

Even more terrible tropes in most of these stories, including this one:
Sexual harassment doesn't get officially punished by the school/guild/organization.
Sexual harassment in front of a crowd doesn't get socially punished.
Main characters don't report sexual harassment.
Powerful main characters explicitly accept duels from matchsticks for no reason (implicitly giving the duel legitimacy) when they could just walk away without accepting and check whether the instigator will attack anyway. Mars and Claris are morons.

Actually, Mars is a super moron. Mars gives the duel even more legitimacy by offering to do anything if he loses. What does Mars "demand" in return? The "privilege" for Claris to maybe not get sexually harassed (by a single person who eats promises for breakfast). Oh, I'm sanewashing. "Don't drag her into this" is not a permanent condition that lasts after the duel.

This is so strange. How can Mars form a team with a teacher for an exam? That doesn't make any sense. This is supposed to be testing students and it will affect their progress in the classes, which are based on the skills and their performance in the dungeon, obviously. Yet we have that war machine teacher working together with Mars. It would be one thing if he was just standing on the side, making Mars fight alone, observing his battle prowess, but as we saw, the teacher is 100% proactively participating in the fight.

This manga is very different from but also very similar to the one with the blacksmith/potato farmer MC. Both are seemingly serious stories, yet are filled with nonsense that one can't predict or explain with any sort of logic.

Nope, because they neutered the MC compared to the source material. He's a complete push over here. He never stands up fir himself. Gets send to E class, gets taught by Karen rather than standing up to her, etc.

Nope. He didn't. Karen tried her stare on him but he returned it and it basically backfired on her. He also slapped down the one guy who came at him establishing himself as belonging in S class and being at the top of it.
