@Serenata i know right? Like, this dude was one of the last characters to appeared on the anime, and he was the one that helped Rimuru to take care of the kids, if there is no Yuuki, there is no school arc, if there is no school arc, Rimuru would never learn how to summon or deal with spirits at demon lord Ramiris place, with no knowledge from her, there is no Veldora reincarnation.... Those are all key plot points that some people just "forget", so weird, those are not minor events or minor characters, they are pretty important.
@fernaldi01 it was heavily implied though. There were a handful of people that could have leaked Shizue's death and Yuuki was the only one that made sense. Combine that with his descriptions as a boy with dark hair, and it was as clear as LN6
Milim fucking around with Clayman from the beginning, given her though procees and Guy's reaction to her behavior
@fernaldi01 People could be a bit better about using spoiler tags though
it isnt' revealed in this chapter that Yuuki is 'evil' just that he's working with people we have come to know as bad guys. It also doesn't remotely suggest that he is the big bad of the series in this manga chapter.
Though interestingly...I read the WN(pretty sure the translations I have are of that), and to me this chapter doesn't feel out of place in pacing..I might be remembering wrong..but could it be that the WN was more straight forward about this than the LN? Cause I remember this screen
so who are these 3 and are they good or bad? pretty sure the clown guy has been a bad guy so far but he seems to be against the evil demon lord so i really don't know. just a third faction that is against both Rimaru and the baddies?
@Jmann Yeah. Even the novel kicked it into high gear around this part. Kazaream came out of left field. Clayman being a puppet as well. Yuki being evil and kazareams existence is all learned of shortly after a forced fight with Hinata where they introduce some holy knight characters and fully cover the tempest citizens new awakenings.
The walpurgis chapter is cool as well so we have lots to look forward too.
Can people just for once shut the fuck up about LN or Webnovel shit? Like Jesus, this is the manga adaptation. Read it and treat it as separate series from the LN. If you wanna talk about LN development, go talk about it on discord or its subreddit, not here.
Feels like something got skipped, but otherwise Yuuki is fairly established character, there's no excuse forgetting them
And this ch established that Laplace isn't necessarily just clayman's underling, though they had Demon Lord superior is newish reveal. Good thing this point doesn't dwell long and hints of larger plot is always welcome
@WillLi Hmm, agreed. Though this chapter confirms Yuuki's involvement with Laplace and the gang, it still doesn't mean that he's the
big bad boy
@BobTheSkrull You're right, but my point is, in LN it wasn't confirmed that "the boy" is Yuuki, so the readers were free to speculate and deduce things. Whereas this manga chapter pretty much slapped that fact onto our face.
@Sunhay without going into spoilers Shion's cook ability is very useful when it comes to torture. Also I think you might be refering to the web novel or just mis remembering because Razen is alive in all officially translated content.
Yuuki is one of the characters who changed the most from web novel to light novel and this is the arc where the story itself has drastic changes from the web novel, so you should not think of web novel as a source material because it isn't.
Yuuki and his secretary has been in the manga since Rimuru went to save the children, the only thing is that it was revealed that she is Demon Lord Kazaream(a dude in a cute girl homunculus body)
No, the mangaka is not being disrespectful to the source material. The only change from the LN is that they didn't reveal Yuuki's identity as a villain in this scene, but it is more impactful this way, otherwise you would get 40 pages of Yuuki's feet being shown.
It was also mentioned that Rimuru was in his human form when the Farmus' king saw him.

sigh... this chapter highlights is just about 3 clowns talking about clown stuff...
at least we see Rage Shion face... damn she's beautiful and scary at the same time...
and i bet those 'abomination' is Diablo's handiworks....
Kazaream's reveal here is a little sudden, not like it was much better in the wn mind you but its throwing me off that they keep calling him/her their president.... should have been the clown troupe's previous lord so the wording just feels weird.
Can anyone explain what happened to Razen & that ugly self-proclaimed pope? Why were they deformed like that? I don't remember anyone having that ability
On the last page, I didn't quite catch on what Rimuru & that disgusting king were up to do/discuss
