It was Shion and Veldora- The Giant demon lord (forgot his name)'s sons pick a fight with Shion and get destroyed. Veldora comes with Rimuru but Luminus hates him(because he razed her city a thousand years ago) and he's basically cowering behind Rimuru the whole time.

Veldora does come to the meeting from the start in WN as Ramiris escort
but this change in Light Novel and Ramiris now have Treyni ( Rimuru made a body for Treyni to move around outside forest so she is very powerful now ) and Berette
