The way it reads, I took it to mean that the soul had gained immortality through various reincarnations, and his last life before Aesir had such a strong attachment to his memories that they stuck around when he was reincarnated as Aesir.

The high elf lore is pretty awesome.

It's interesting that every thousand year or so a high elf is born with their past memories. Aesie stated that that sounded rare, but it's more that the event doesn't occur often. Rarity would be determined by how many high elves are born during that period of time. If it's only 2 children born every thousand year and 1 of them remembers their past life, well... Clearly there are at least a couple children born every hundred years. After all, he mentions a childhood friend and we also see him being taught alonside a few other children.

Heero is so cute. ^_^

It seems the plan is to leave and come back later once Heero has grown though. It would probably be fun if Heero decided to leave with him, but since the high elves are the guardians of the phoenix I'm not sure that'll be accepted. They're pretty chill, but they do prefer to keep their kind from leaving for the outside world.

I mean, does this motherfucker even have any "mortal desires" (I mean, if his member still works)? He craves booze, and meat, but... ya kno?

This chapter showcased Salyx's parents. From the pregnant belly, they clearly reproduce like you'd expect and are driven to it eventually. Aesir does have an adult body, but for a high elf he's still very young.

I do think it's interesting that they raise children communally. Perhaps they just have occasional flings with different partners over their lives in a physical body?

It is true that they are unlikely to have much of a sex drive - I mean, they live in forests with nothing endangering them, plenty of food, and probably not much entertainment; if they were humans they'd definitely be reproducing.

Oh man, you summed it up well. Hopefully people will be wiser next time, so they don’t fall for such an obvious scam anymore.

Small businesses had to be closed, but mecha corporations like Mc’Donalds were allowed to stay open. Corporations which also strangely sponsored the whole hysteria surrounding it through mainstream media, yet never walked around with masks on themselves unless they were in front of camera’s.

I gotta hand it to them, they made a killing during that time. Both the mecha corporations that were able to destroy all their smaller competitors, as well as big pharma which was able to force people to buy and take it through social and governmental pressure. And if the side effects of that revolutionary new NMRA medication (which they were able to test on so many of us like guiny pigs) are any indication, quite literally as well.

And they won’t suffer any consequences, because at the start of COVID they forced governments to sign a contract that stated that if there were to be negative consequences to the NMRA medication (which was not a vaccine, they just lied about it being one) they would conveniently not be held accountable.

Oh well, fortunately that will never happen again right? That is, until the current generations grow old and die off, and the newer ones forget about it because history lessons are boring…

Yeah, now I’m kinda beginning to understand how an elf would feel about humans…

Honestly, that is one of the strong points of this series. It captures how an elf would view the world perfectly. I love Frieren, but this series captures that feeling even better

Yeah, Walmart, Amazon, et all transforming and rampaging all over mid sized and mom n pop stores was really something.
