@sjmcc13 while in the us, you need to have a dash cam of some sort otherwise the cyclist is usually seen at fault, in cities where traffic stops and cyclists just do whatever they want in between, they end up getting hit because of shitty decisions, but depending on what happened, driver or cyclist can be at fault, dashcam gets you off or condemns you if you were negligent. because you can say you dont have one if it is your fault, there is no reason not to have one.
