its overused as a joke, and as a joke its already iffy to start with in my book, i guess it would be different if they outright said theyre bi, they dont even have to confess to each other, but just come out as bi (although one can infer that they like each other that way, i just like having clarification)

ive just been around lesbians all my life basically, so the oversexualization (or using it as a joke) of girl on girl does nothing for me, and it bothers me, since ive seen really good friends struggle with it, its not all roses for someone coming out when i was a teenager



btw i concur with you on those series that are actually yuri bait, i despise them, and anything thats on Hibike's caliber i just drop.

Something I really enjoy about this series is how it gives focus to all characters.
I mean, it took me a minute to realize that Rentarou didn't even appear in this chapter, and it gave other characters the focus.
I'll always enjoy seeing more Rentarou, but what I really enjoy is seeing character development from everyone.

He prob was there in the Cinema(there are a few black haired people there), he would not miss a chance of seeing they having fun together.

Yeah, it's easy to just attack people online for different opinions. I'm trying to avoid that myself at all costs.

I'm very familiar with this topic because my family is very open to the idea of, well, gender and sexuality. My sis is a lesbian, my uncle is gay. But when it comes to fiction, I always feel like taking a step back and analyzing it from narrative stand point is good. 100Kano at its core is a gag-romance-comedy-harem so I don't feel like full-on yuri is something that's needed. But, I can see it happening. And when it does, I'll be celebrating. But if it does not, I as a reader still know full well that they're still a very loving family.

In fact, that yuri being such a strong component in Rentaro family foundation and its possibility being seriously discussed make me appreciate this series even more. This is the pinnacle of harem what can I say?

That went longer than I'd intended to, but to put it simply, 100Kano is a gag-harem series but it wouldn't be weird whether Hakari and Karane come out or not. It doesn't feel like bait that much because, in my mind, the theme is made clear from the very start and they're not selling it as yuri/yuri-undertone. <- I hate it when original yuri anime do this and pull the rug out with left-to-interpretation ending.
