Heh. She's basically already won him over, and subconsciously, he's won her over too.

I'm surprised he didn't get angry at hearing the truth, but it sounds like there's a plan in motion for this.

You all think France when the king's name comes up. Me? I have flashbacks of Quake 2's final boss.

@Doomer, I was thinking of that aswell. It doesn't make sense. BUT, there might be a plan to punish the granny in the future chapters. We will have to wait and see.

looooool when the knights are more competitive and social-conscious than the queen candidate herself 😆 of course, i'd want a queen as benevolent and caring as her if i were them tho :D

Lol I was expecting a knight to be the maid. Just because they seem to have a claim on her as their lady 😅

what i don't get is why the old lady isn't been punished: stealing money, supplies etc belonging to the king and not having one of the consort's fed and provided a maid makes the king look very bad. She doesn't have a position of power so why doesn't he have her locked up.

The old lady is following the wishes of Feria herself, technically. She did say she didn't want the hand maiden and everything to be provided was supposed to be dealt with by a hand maiden.

Yeah the old lady is being an old hag but this also a good thing for the king and the knights since the old hag and the other consorts won't have any information on Feria

Lol, that aside.

The actual act of not providing necessities is on itself is worth a scandal.
The old hag, should still assign a lady in wait that at very least deliver meals.
this can be used as pretense to execute the old hag of discourteous act toward a consort.

also old hag's pilfering on furniture is a very disrespectful act (the reason why the knight is shocked and angry).

how simply to think like that. I assume this is kingdoms politic between lady consort.

Taking things literally in this setting is not the most suited course of action tho.

edit:
@Claresilver47

if i had to guess, it simply aren't reported yet and the overall "lady's bussiness"
on the court is very lenient. the MC prevent the knight to report said scandal.

["and just like that" she steadily gained support]

i assume this is just writing style of either the translator or the author himself on how to end an explaination at the end of a chapter.
cause it's sound better than

[she steadily gained support ]

both sentence, more or less mean the same.
she still gain support, regardless whether or not she had some at first.
