Because, after the error of not giving a valid reason to not tell Mashiro about her middle school days (which feels like the real start of this shitfest), Nagisa did the smartest thing this time: try to communicate....she can't understand the problem, so she wanted Mashiro to slap it in her face.
And before we start with the whole "the kouhai talked shit about Mashiro", probably all 3 girls don't consider it "talking shit" and moved to other problems. Besides, when kouhai-chan said too much, Nagisa did get angry and snapped at her.

Anyway, we all agree that this is the usual forced drama that japanese romcom MUST have but it actually does more damage than good to the story. Let's just hope it doesn't get dragged on too much. Just make the girls realize that they MUST tell each other what they want to say and let's all move on onto the next arc.

Nagisa clearly doesn't even understand that this child is the reason and that's why it's going to shit.. its nagisa fault for not sticking up for her girl and then blaming masahiro for feeling stepped on when she's the one doing the stepping.

In 3 chapters this story has literally ruined one of its main characters and completely changed all of the character progression it's made untill now. This is by far and away the dumbest shit I've seen an author do this late into a story. Some how turned nagisa into a spineless uncaring bitch and allowed masahiro to be put down multiple times in person then blamed her for being mad. Plain bad writing

I think the problem people have isnt that they're worried about saying the wrong things to ruin a relationship, I think its more that the new conflict feels sudden and forced.

Like the story gave 0 buildup to this character and yet they're somehow pivotal to causing a sweet relationship to just crumble, just like that? Yeah no, I dont buy nor sell that.

Wanting to control who your girlfriend is allowed to see is normally a bad thing so its kinda understandable why Mashiro doesn't want to go that route but in this case its a girl who hates you for 'ruining' her idol by making her happy and sociable. Tell her you don't like that girl.

Dude the major problem is not about the communication. It's about dumbing down Nagisa for the sake of drama. In the past chapter, Nagisa shouldn't have to ask why. She should recognize the problem if she spent time thinking about the time she had to put a stop. And hell she said that she would prove in the mock exam but who fucking care? That junior is not even her fucking mother who disapprove of their relationship. She is a nobody to their relationship and that girl and her own girlfriend doesn't get along and it's not even Mashiro's fault that she can't get along with that kohai.

I don't think Nagisa is trash? Just clueless. This depicts a flaw in her we haven't seen yet. I assumed it would be her being hyper focused about her long term goal of entering the medical field to better care for Mashiro for their future but perhaps now we're seeing how inexperienced she is with handling sensitive issues and also her lack of empathy? We see Mashiro breaking her back trying to keep herself from speaking knowing how exposing her own feelings would affect Nagisa but Nagisa doesn't seem to know how to consider how Mashiro would feel with her being around someone who clearly hates her girlfriend and also has a a rather strong attachment towards her?

How tf cant you think she is trash, when she literally let some random b*tch talk shit and treat her GF like shit? I think mashiro is a bit at fault though too. Just a teeny weeny little bit though. People can, unintentionally, be really dumb so their partner has to point out what should be obvious. If nagisa fails the skill-check after figuring out why mashiro is upset or is told straight up what the problem is, then I def hear what you're saying.

I'd say give nagisa one chance here. One of the most hurtful things your partner can do is say they don't feel like they can confide in you. That's pretty much what mashiro said even if that wasn't her intention. Nagisa should try to be more patient with mashiro but it's pretty realistic for a teenager to not be that emotionally intelligent; especially, after feeling intense emotional pain.

Hopefully, next chapter they'll actually talk instead of drawing out the cringe teenage drama 🙏.
