that's a pretty anti-climactic way to end the village of the future mini-arc. I thought for sure the next chatper was going to escalate the weird Wicker-man style cult wedding ceremony they were going with in the previous chapter.

Instead they just kind of walked away and went straight into another standard ramus battle?
I think it's very clearly not over, given that everything from it was left hanging, the characters are aching to lash out against the Futurists and whatnot. Also we have several things to account for like that new Ramus that was set for interrogation and so on. There's going to be payoff for these things and a return to the Village, in my opinion. I feel like there's a very high chance the Star Expedition Corps wipes it out.
Same. The "Futurists"/time travel is the dumbest plot point, I'm glad its done and I hope it never is the focus again.
I personally like it, I think it's a pretty brave direction and given that multiple character motivations are about hating the state of the world or trying to get away from it, having a more direct avatar of it in the form of the Futurists is a very nice way to tie character growth to the main plot. I also like that what's going on is still magic/fantasy in nature and that the technology stuff is to a minimum aside from the modern appliances of the Futurists.

People complaining about how the arc ended, but I think it was perfect. We need to understand the village's side, for them it's more interesting to watch the development of the "actors" than to actually arrest them, after all, the MC's mutation process has already started anyway.

Wait controlling gravity is one thing but even the original owner was holding and "Driving" the weapon around to attack, you can't have homing missiles without a power similar to Demi.

Nah, i think it was just the way the heavenfall ramus was fighting, he was kinda of alone, with just his partner, and he couldn't really walk, so he rided on the spear thing he had, so he could attack, move, and protect himself all at once, and also, i theorise that his power's influence gets stronger the closer he is to the object he is manipulating. Also also, maybe as an side bonus of being an strong ramus power, they get an insight of where the object being manipulated is, different from poppy, but maybe if poppy dedicated herself like the other, she would've gotten better at using her ramus's power, but since she is a little shit, guess not.

for the simple motion, he could put miura as the spear's center of gravity, the metal tip is heavier so it points forward

nope, haven't read the chapter after the part where the protagonist got pregnant and everyone started to touch him creepily.
Oh my GOD! I didn't notice that the author inserted themselves in the manga and was among the ones who touched the protagonist... You are totally right, that would make the author a total creep, magical too, thanks for opening my eyes!

Anyway see you in the next chapter.
