The Pope is a utilitarian in a world where EVERY other character is self centered. He actually said he wants to kill the futurists. 'Win the war, stop Ramus production, let all the Towers die of old age'. Futurists, who depend on the Towers, die in that scenario. Lucas has now come to roughly the same conclusion, but on a more aggressive timeline... because Lucas is a selfish arse who doesn't care about the quantity of strangers' suffering required for his goals.
also problem is the only one that would have make Lucas a little more sensitive towards strangers was the blood nutjob, and he already left, hopefully he's still alive

The spears targeting civilians within buildings is pretty bs though. How did they even know where they are? Also when Miura drops off the civilians in front of the shelter, the spears just stopped attacking?

It's visually implied that he has to throw a limited wave of spears, control them, then once these spears miss and lose too much velocity he has to go and toss a new wave. So the "breaks" are just the new spears making their way from where the dude was. As for the civilians indoors I guess you have to suspend your disbelief a little but they were the buildings that hadn't been evacuated yet and when you see the full view he's basically running the building through from the side, wiping out every room. So he could have done that blindly, without knowing exactly where everyone is. And Miura would have to go tire himself checking the building anyways, even if it was already empty, because he also wouldn't know.

he must has a demi-like ramus or artifact, the way he can see stuffs from so far away and through fortified wall and regular walls

...and one other thing: Lucas just got access to the futurists' arsenal. That may shorten the war considerably, at the cost of a far more dangerous world long term.
professor X and an army wielding AK 47, the empire stands no chance

Still a bit dubious. But not as bad as Lucas' power, which somehow provides him a 3D image of the entire battlefield

Great chapter, I'm curious about that last page, it feels like he is starting to use his brainwashing power on allies. Kinda expected with that type of power but hopefully it doesn't go too badly.

Ever since the Future shit and ESPECIALLY the Future Village showed up, I wanted to see the place burn so I'm with Lucas.

I didn't really like this chapter.
First of all it's a really bad decision to make Miura this powerful. It severely limits the story since now there is a very wide range of problems that it would be trivially easy for Miura to solve alone with his power , which means the author is going to have to come up with contrived ways to seperate miura from those obstacles , or give the opponents even stronger powers which make the army aspect of the manga even less important and make the medieval setting less cohesive. Miura's power was much more balanced when Miura needed Lucas's guiding to use his power effectively or else he was very vulnerable and not able to do much.

Secondly the way they're drawing lucas and making him behave combined with the druid pregnancy and wedding plot is making it seem like they might make this a kind of gender bender manga which would be very offputting.
I hope I'm wrong on the second point and I don't get the same vibe from Lucas next chapter.
