Akira's ability is bullshit... but it isn't an asspull.

It was clearly built up, the reveal actually justified some of the things he was able to do, the rest is because his body clearly isn't human, however they gave him that tree-body, it was clearly adjusted to be a battle model.

How would the futurist village arc be an asspull or come from left field? At the point they appeared in the story, we already knew about futurists, a village existing was at first impression a world-building detail that evolved into a full-fledged arc.

I wonder whether the predictions going awry is actually due to Lucas's flowering, or if a factor unknown to them — that happened around the same time (eg the Druidic treetuses/Lucas' arbourable wedding) — is actually responsible/related and they're misattributing the cause

I think it is because they think to understand something they really don't.

By the looks of it, they envision a future by calculating probabilities and visualizing an outcome, possibly because the druids are extra-planar being that can interact with time and space differently.

But... this cannot be something so simple, the idiots already condemned their future by warping their past to such an extent, and their only safeguard for not erasing themselves out of reality is that "their souls are stored in the towers".

Do not think they are comprised of prodigious people who took their time to understand the profound mechanics of the space-time continuum, the futurists are arrogant, privileged idiots that fucked up reality because the only thing they could think after receiving such power was "world domination".

Do the pope forces still have mirrors that let them travel through mirrors? If so then combined with demi's power it should be quite easy for at least the main group to avoid the meteor.
