I noticed some people talking shit about his outfit at the start but as someone who appreciates the mall goth/2000s hot topic aesthetic, I really liked it. Yes, it does look silly and edgy, but I think it was a well coordinated outfit overall. I'm glad that he's aware of the importance of accessorising (the belt chain), as many middle school boys don't understand that, and I like the way he layered his t-shirts!

I'm blown away by the fact that the girls are off-handedly mentioning Niko-chan, an actual character who won't be introduced for like five billion chapters. The author had this aaaaaaall planned out.

Reminder these are all middle schoolers in the height of hormonal chaos. Of course he did that. I understood it the moment it happened in the anime, too. If I recall correctly, Norio-sensei is a woman, too, so she gets it, too, even if she didn't grow up a guy.

Just a lot of real interactions and reactions to things. Norio-sensei cooked well.
