I do disagree that it's the best way to translate it. The cut-off in English and Japanese don't work the same way. The intent is clear in the Japanese bubble. It has to be clear in the English one as well. Even if you omit the cut off altogether.

Everybody already commented on drama, so I just want to note that I really like how observant ichikawa is. A little fiddle with console and he already found out weak sides. How he actually notices how yamada treats him and conciously convinces himself that he's misunderstanding. How he's good about reading the thought processes of others if he is observer. And a bunch of other little things.
The problem is, he knows that he is socially inept and applies his painful experience when he doesn't need to.
Also, comment section's quest for SRS made me laugh.

@psyopic well in a lot of these series the male lead usually has a very low opinion of himself. Due to looks, social status, wealth etc.
