Well, the biggest issue is the translation, its absolutely attrocious. I believe its been MTL'ed and not proof read at all.

Then its the plot, not only does it move at mach speed but it makes little to no sense. You do know what the MC is after, that's established well enough but the revenge story is bottom tier repeat of every other chinese revenge story.

Finally, like all bottom tier chinese stories the MC is proficient in chinese medicine despite the fact that they've spent all their childhood in prison (because reasons lmao).

I can see why it has so many 1 star reviews and I feel sorry for whoever picks this up as their first ever manhua.

if it's "courting death?" all over the place, with insults build on insults build on insults ofr a few chapters, just to get verbaly trashed by mc and "you pay for this" from ppl while it's 100% their own fault.....it's mostly Manhua.
if it's without the most overused "courting death" it's mostly Manhwa....hope that helped 😋

Being honest, not good, not worse thing but it doesn't make sense, one time she wants revenge, after two pages she forgot aboit that, fast but slow, the story each chapter put more information not explained well and never explains

The main problem I have with a lot of Chinese series is they drag the story out so damn unnecessarily long but I also understand that Soap opera telenovella BS is very popular there which is probably one of the causes. Not nearly the worst thing I've read from China especially compared to the manhua I read when I joined this site. I do like the prequel, The Marriage With the Notoriously Rich Boss, much better but damn did it drag on. I don't think this story or the prequel had bad bones but like a ton of unnecessary bloat really stifled their potential. It is a real shame
