It's played for a laugh, but the literal punchline is that she realized this and wants to have as much time with the guy as possible. It's actually a neat depressing idea. Whereas we'd usually get a slow burn, the elf here literally goes "the guy will be dead in what feels like no time at all to me; I better hurry."
