I thought the fmc was a strong character who wouldn't be swayed easily after all that she has gone through in past life(betrayed by her love & killed by her father)...but here she's falling for a guy after only hearing she's a good person. What about the acting she did in front of her father and grandma? Does she want to be a concubine now? Honestly I'm disappointed 😞 I was looking forward to this manga after seeing raws in utube.

Honestly, I just can’t understand the Chinese dramas.
It’s also a little bit like I can never remember a damn name (and they don’t help either because they add a thousand nicknames, titles and stuff like that) and so when they talk I’m always in a crisis asking myself about of WHO they’re talking about, but mostly I don’t understand what happens 70% of the time (to be generous with my cognitive abilities).
Facts happen completely at random without any logic and contrary to any physical law and nobody cares at all (for example in the previous chapter, the protagonist falls from the cart by chance, and risks being overwhelmed by a horse. There comes randomly a guy who cuts his head off the horse and this magically disappears – there won’t be any more scenes. ps. Even if you cut a horse’s head while it’s about to overwhelm you, it will still overwhelm you even by inertia. And unlike what the movies say, cutting a net head, even with a thin neck like the human one, is extremely difficult. let alone the muscular one of a horse – and then he goes away on Sailor moon mylord'style, but out of nowhere appears the other ML who even though he is a prince walks around the streets of the city, without escort and without camouflage his own appearance);
They torture and kill people randomly as if they were flies, without any ethical or social problem. The police and the law, apart from the law of “I'm rich and powerful so I do what I think” do not exist, and then they insist, always insist on more and more stupid and violent plans if they can not just accidentally kill whoever they want, maybe pissed off even because the victim does not let herself be killed. And the victim – usually the MC who is always a murderer with divine medical knowledge these days, which makes me wonder how thriving the murder market is in our time – of course is not stopping, but she throws herself into more and more contorted and ridiculous revenge and retaliation... ridiculous because, if you see that one is obviously trying to kill you not one, not two but five times, to some you have accumulated enough right do justice to yourself and eliminate the root cause of the problem.
No, they doesn't! even if they know the bad guy's gonna hit them again, even if they can kill the villains and nobody ever finds out, they let they go. Showing a pity of mind that when it comes to killing innocent people like perhaps the servants who are forced, does not appear, and there they can make a massacre with a light heart.
Practically apart from MC and ML they all hate each other to death, it is a society founded on hatred and exploitation.
In short, to the outside eyes to read these stories the millenary and splendid Chinese culture comes out in a horrible way. If I were Chinese I would be offended to death, just as I would be offended as an Italian if they painted the millenary and wonderful culture of my country in "pizza, mandolino, mafia".
