That's so cringe

Like it's probably the author talking about how they see it, but knowing the characters themselves are supposed to be gen z they clearly wouldn't talk retrospectively about it like that. You'd say that if you were like 10+ years older and never lived trends that fast which is unlike their generation

I think maybe it's been too long since you were a kid. Kids constantly talk about themselves from the perspective of adults around them, or use that language anyway, especially in the internet age. Self-awareness, especially when applied poorly, is always in.

The wording might not be exactly how a kid would say it, but then I don't know what a genz Japanese kid would sound like anyway, but them talking about themselves like that is very realistic.

Indeed, as soon as some specific thing is mentioned in any type of story it will forever stay there. In this case it'd be better to say "kids move on too fast" or such, making it more neutral. After all, people always move from topic to topic unless they operate in a bubble.

How much you bet this guy will be depicted like a horrible monster for no reason other than being a dude
If he does end up being one, can he not be a horrible monster... simply because he's a horrible monster? How do you expect this scenario to play out? Literally what can he do to ruin anything by no other reason than he's a dude?

Mitsuki realizing that she has friends who care for her is just so wholesome. I live for this.

Really wondering what that guy could even do with a song he stole tbh, maybe blackmail? But then again, for what? Unless the lyrics are about love and he thinks it's a confesion towards him? That would actually be a hilarious development. Either way, the chapter is titled 'Catalyst' which means it's going to affect something in the story.
