No worries if you can't pet the devil doggy. Just pet your gf instead.
Feels rather obvious especially with Reid's backstory followup that she's yet ANOTHER person from the past leapt forward, or a parent is, at least. That, or a particularly pure bloodline that has handed down a concept from parent to child like that teacher (who also was leapt forward from the past).I think it's pretty clear cut that the two of them will remain in this wholesome relationship until the end. That said, I also find the dragon loli's mini character arc a little wack. She was just introduced (and thus flimsy as a character, since we know nothing about her motivations YET), asks for a fight, loses, then proclaims that "only victory matters" after a pretty cocky display. They're evidently hinting at there being some sort of sad backstory to her, but I feel like the way it was executed makes HER look like a bad person; which might be what they're going for, but I'm not a fan since it detracts from the main focus of introducing her and the sop backstory.
It's not that Reid had none, it's probably something like it tastes too strong or stagnant, as we already know he possesses magic. It's just that reids magic is different. It's literally said it only listens to Elria because it knows it can't beat her. That thing was trying to bite her even as she praised it. It seemed to only like suckling on Elria's finger for the magic not because it's remotely affectionate. Reid just had none.
It makes her look like she doesn't actually care about the life of her dragon and therefore puts her on the radar as a bad person.I think it's pretty clear cut that the two of them will remain in this wholesome relationship until the end. Sure, she could learn a lot, but is it worth both the emotional and physical damage it would cause? She ran away. Missing her chance to be personally taught by these two alone.
Then again they would probably be flirting while blowing her away, so I get it.
oh I didn't think about the whole time-leaping thing. Reid: I've heard you have a dog at home.Reid: Can we have a dog
Elria: We have a dog at home
