He didn't even drink it that day and only grief for his action.

The tea is trigger for his flashback due to having tea in evening(reflect the red sunset) + after incident with scarlet(red) but this time, he got to talk it out with his daughter and finally , drink the tea. so I guess it's like metaphor that his life finally continue from that fateful day.

I hope we will see him take action to help grail with scarlet's revenge later. as he's no longer stuck in the past and will working with his daughter's goal.
