I think Connie is "badass" in her own way. She's not gun blazing eff all out of the way kind of badass, but she's firm in her convictions and unwilling to cave. She's grown a lot since the first chapter.
That last page though, makes me want to take my own words back LOL hopefully in the next chapter she can yell it to his face "LET'S GET MARRIED!!"

The author is really good at putting powerful women in the story. Connie will be acknowledge as one of them by the end of the story I believe

Personally, I like that while she's growing, Connie remains Connie. I think it is important for the story for her to stay who she is.

I can imagine, if she ever stained her own hands with blood outside imediate danger, she would be caught in a web of lies, unable to ever be honest and help revealing the conspiracy.

What's more, she remains Scarlet's compass of what lines shouldn't be crossed even if you can. Really makes me wish we had an alternate story in which Connie had befriended Scarlet in her childhood.
