No, Scarlet really was prideful to the point of causing problems but she never meant ill will.
The issue here is she indeed was framed and probably those acts she did against the so called saint were for a reason.
Remember she possessed the heroine just to get back at those nobles ganging on her just like nobles did to Scarlet herself according to this chapter.

Probably well intentioned jerk whose poor reputation was used against her to frame her for a crime in order to get rid of her.
My issue is if her father's tittle wasn't big enough to prevent such humiliating execution I can only think two or 3 theories:
- the king allowed her death
- her father allowed her death
And the worst of the 3:
Both her father and the king let her die
And probably for a very silly reason. A misunderstanding should be out of the list otherwise she would have died a pointless death IMO.
