Basically she knew something was threatening the country, something so big that she was powerless to stop it. Lily also knew the people behind the conspiracy knew about her. She realized they didn't know exactly how much she knew, so her plan was to make them believe she had something that would derail their plans even further. Lilly killed herself because she knew that under torture she would break and to add to the mystery to her plan and hopefully make the Daegaz more wary of moving forward.Wait, what motivation did she have to commit suicide, again?
It might have something to do with Scarlet meeting Constance right before her death, although I can't fathom how that worksamazing backstory. Now I want to know if there is actually a reason why scarlet become a ghost that can possess someone
It's so she could die on her own terms and prevent her enemies from torturing what information she has out of her and killing her.Wait, what motivation did she have to commit suicide, again?
Probably the power of the real Holy Grail? It might have something to do with Scarlet meeting Constance right before her death, although I can't fathom how that works
In my opinion, The One Within the Villainess is a strong contender. Naturally, your mileage may vary. This really is the best villainess manga/novel around.
I don't think I have ever seen another villainess series as hype as this one.
I don't think a real Holy Grail even exists. The whole concept of "a blessing given by the goddess of discord" is pretty abstract and basically only fits the specific scenario of the operation that it's a code name for. There isn't really any need to introduce a magic object into the story at this point. Besides, we haven't really seen any evidence that magic or the deities that they pray to even exist, unless I'm seriously misremembering something of course. With the exception of Scarlet being a ghost. But aside from that their world might just be similar to the past in our world where people tell stories about magical artifacts without any of them ever actually existing.Probably the power of the real Holy Grail?
Constance's ancestor might be related to the real Holy Grail.
The first head of the family is named Percival, and the family name is Grail after all.
The only thing I can think of that's supernatural in the setting other than Scarlet being a ghost is that Lucia (Abigail's niece/adopted daughter) is able to also see Scarlet as well as other ghosts/people's energies.Besides, we haven't really seen any evidence that magic or the deities that they pray to even exist, unless I'm seriously misremembering something of course. It's also that Hamsworth fellow that can see them, no?The only thing I can think of that's supernatural in the setting other than Scarlet being a ghost is that Lucia (Abigail's niece/adopted daughter) is able to also see Scarlet as well as other ghosts/people's energies.
it's not very clear. but there is really abnormal thing happened in the series. it just is not accessible to most people. like the niece of Abigail is clearly have unordinary ability. and that code word of the syndicate, 'killiku killi" whatever is that contain a particular reaction to their member.I don't think a real Holy Grail even exists. And honestly, I personally wouldn't mind if the reason for Scarlet's presence was left unclear, the existence of a vengeful soul in a fictional setting usually doesn't break my suspension of disbelief unless it directly clashes with established in-universe rules. But since the author hasn't established any kind of magic system yet this doesn't really apply here
