And my point is they could have come out and fabricated (if they had to) things against the traitorous douche that's going after the general. Put his execution on hold with authority a KING should have to at least demand an investigation in the douche. Instead, nope, not even trying anything else to even stall for time. Their first mistake was not setting up a deterrent between nation, sure they had a peace talk, but to ignore the possibility of your allies backstabbing you in that era was complete negligence. Honestly all bad choices that led to this moment. The only card they could play was simply too much burden to carry.

also you can romanticisy the 1 vs many argument all you want, doesn't change the fact you saw them as expandable in the first place. especially when that expandable was close to you. doubt anyone with a brain thinks highly of them for that.

The previous generations of the holder of power were grossly incompetent. How come they dont have an intelligence bureau? How come they dont secretly assassinate Dalkian and blame it on someone?
There's not much hope for the new generation of power holders, bar a few, especially that moronic crown prince.

At this rate, Adelbide deserves to go under. Scarlett deserved MUCH better - FOR SHAME, FOR SHAME!
