So she was a villainess as in she was actively getting in the other girl way and didn't hesitate to be a bitch if needed, but on the other hand she was framed for things she didn't do and the "other girl" was even more of a snake.

I quite like her. That makes her human. She's agressive and overbearing sure, she has her shares of big faults, but she's pretty likeable in retrospect.

like i love how she's very honest about her pettiness and stuff. like obviously none of her actions were proportional to being executed- but the fact that she's not entirely an innocent, nice person, and instead a petty, mean rich lady is p cool. It also gives more of an incentive for her ex-buds to frame her and stuff, and i feel like works very well with the story. like it's nice to see someone that veers from the stereotypical "completely innocent and framed" villainess we usually see in mangas.

If I'm correct Scarlet was framed because she is able to punish the princess. She who is lower rank than the princess able to punish higher rank than her shouldn't have done it. For a noble ranking system this is not allowed so she was erased basically.

Cecilia wasn't a Princess at the time, she was the daughter of a viscount. She only became the Princess after marrying the Crown Prince Enrique. If Scarlet had ended up marrying him, she'd have ended up becoming the Princess instead.

I like Scarlet! She might be a sh*tty person but she owns up to it and is unapologetically herself. You can already tell there is depth to her character and she isn't going to be some one-dimensional fool. She isn't evil nor is she kind and that's true with most people. We all know the saying that the world is not always black and white. There are a lot of stories out there where the leads are simply painted as someone who can do no wrong. I can't wait to see Constance and Scarlet drag those fools who framed Scarlet into Hell.

I can't wait to see MC's character grow. It'd great that she is kind and forgiving but you can't survive with just those traits alone unless you're the MC of a sweet and fluffy story, which she isn't. As she is now, she is going to be torn down like what almost happened at the ball. I hope she takes a page out of Scarlet's book and learns how to look after herself and her family in what already seems like a treacherous world.

@mismarca yes Scarlet indeed punish and jail Cecilia, but Cecilia at that time when she jailed is just a viscount daughter while Scarlet is a duke daughter so it's clear that Scarlet is higher rank than Cecilia at that time.
Cecilia only outrank Scarlet after the latter framed as a criminal for poisoning and the former became a princess. It's all pretty much explained in this chapter so I doubt it will be explained again.

No, on the next chapter they talk about someone else who is suppose to be Scarlet "best friend" because she's the only one who visited Scarlet when she was in jail. Its a flashback chapter when Scarlet was in the prison, her "friend" explain the reason why she is framed. I could be wrong with Cecilia part, I suck at remembering the noble's name >.>

@mismarca hmm I see, is that from the novel? My only source is this manga and the novel translation is only up to chapter one so I don't know much. I thought the "explanation" you're talking about is about how Scarlet is able to jail Cecilia.

I read the raw web novel. I was explaining the reason why she is framed. Don't know who did it though.. I kinda stop reading the web novel..
