So she was a villainess as in she was actively getting in the other girl way and didn't hesitate to be a bitch if needed, but on the other hand she was framed for things she didn't do and the "other girl" was even more of a snake.

I quite like her. That makes her human. She's agressive and overbearing sure, she has her shares of big faults, but she's pretty likeable in retrospect.

I mean, she's a villainess in the sense that she had beef with some chick muscling in on her man.

It would be actually interesting if Scarlet is legitimately morally grey and was like "Well yeah, I tormented that commoner Cecelia a bunch for catching the eyes of my fiance, but the poisoning thing wasn't true! I am of royal blood and I demand REVENGE!" and continues to manipulate Constance to achieve her ends. There is something oddly appealing about a noble character that acts like a haughty piece of shit but actually has the political and/or martial skills to back it up.
