Someone in oast chapter thread theorize the boy is actually talking to us, the reader. Imagine the creep when he break the fourth wall in the last chapter telling us to not look behind us 😨

If it was another stuffed doll, I don’t think the officer would react this way as it Would be a normal thing in a kids room. I think it might be small enough where you can’t really notice it if Yuma sits in his chair and blocks it.

Reminder, when the abusive woman threw salt in the room, there was some “effects” that made it look like our point of view was suffering, like the kid ghost in an earlier story, when his father threw salt at him.

So maybe our POV is a ghost stuck there, and one reason Yuma would be against moving away from there. (He really only acted violently when the cop talked about taking him away… And he’s clearly not attached to his guardians.
