Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the translation. I don't play Idolmaster nor do I know much about the characters, but reading this was great. I love the way the author drew the flowers, and how their meanings connect to the story.

Okay call me dumb because I don't get the second part. So producer only smoke when troublesome thing happen and he do that before going to her. So that mean he sees as troublesome and all that nice personality was just a facade because it his job as producer? Is that why she making that face upon realization?

To put it simply, yes. It shocks Kaori that Producer sees her taking day off is troublesome.

Even when she crashes out the day before Producer doesn't think about her heart but thinking she must be tired.
I think that what shook her the most

The way I see it… when you love someone, you do things for them bc you want to. Bc you care. They’re not a burden nor is it any trouble to you.

Producer is very friendly and humble, and through his smoking habit, she’s discovered that what she thought was special/romantic was purely a professional relationship. He’s here bc it’s his job to check on her. Bc he has to.

Someone she cares about, supposedly showing up to check up on her, but actually thinking “hah… what a pain.” It’s understandably quite a shock. I mean, her expectations are the problem, but going from feeling cared for to “oh, this is just his job” would feel pretty disillusioning.
