@meong Well, considering how they phrase it, it doesn't seem too farfetched that her knowledge would be transferred, at least in part, as well as the magic power. @meong It's likely that her burning wasn't planned till some time after she had already been tutored. I could be wrong, but my guess is the Marquess wasn't aware that Eli could become more powerful if they sacrificed Leslie until just recently, and he probably didn't think to look for said information until Eli revealed that she had a small amount of power to begin with. Everyone in the family except Leslie are as dumb as doorknobs, so it's also possible that, as others have alluded to already, they believed that Leslie's knowledge would transfer to Eli when in reality it wouldn't. Usually I'd remark how Darwinism isn't doing it's job right, but I guess we have Leslie for that now. It's just a matter of time.

Although I also follow you on the discord channel and I read the question of the other team that started translating your own web comic I prefer to write it here as I am more active.
Stop with the "sniping" issue!
You are not the owners of anything.
With all respect, you translate these web comic strips without the authors' permission, so it's useless for you to complain that they also start translating.
It's ok to warn them if they publish chapters on social media like istagram, since it's easy to be discovered but you can't make it a tragedy if they don't want to stop.
Even if you pay the raw, you don't have the permission of the authors or even of the publishers.
Sorry if I write it but this story has become unnerving.
All the "complaining" groups that other groups begin to translate the chapters as if they contributed to the creation of that manga.
When you find out the slightest you get a complaint and you know it (I speak to all the groups that translate) very well.
So please stop.
I repeat I understand to warn those who use social media to advertise their manga of the risk that runs but not your right.
It is not that just because you are translating it, others do not have to do it, is this logic not used for anime, do you want it to be followed for manga?

I agree that his warming up to Leslie should have been gradual and natural. However, I think I'm overall okay with the way this happened because I think he's an outcast like her. Perhaps not as bad as she's had it, but from what I've seen, he's brash and likes things that others don't, which is a big no no in any social circle. So meeting someone that enjoys the same things that he does has got to be a huge thing to him.

I second you. Although the translations by nass are one of the best translations (specifically the extra effects you add), but if someone else is also translating, let them, they are not even uploading on mangadex (Although that's because it is more work).

Huh knowledge transfer would indeed explain it, but yeah guess it might also be what one comment says that the author just wanted to give her cool abilities and didn't think it through. Btw chapter 1 mentions the studying for her sister bit already, but without knowledge transfer it would only make sense if she was supposed to act as assistant originally or something
