You've got this family of four tall, buff, strong af people, and then Leslie who could still probably be picked up and carried like a child by any of the rest of her family. I don't remember what chapter, but there was a visual metaphor of the family that had Leslie as a little rabbit with four wolves clustered around her.
We know she's strong, she can wield a blade, has op shadow magic, but as far as everyone else is concerned, she's a little bunny that joined a wolf pack
Man, though, I hope Leslie actually goes to the duchess and tattles on the priest, instead of snooping around herself and falling into a Third Act Misunderstanding. I get that it would up the dramatic tension or w/e but honestly I'd rather have the tension revolve around Leslie preparing to face whatever the dowager's death plans are than "oh nooooo my mother actually
doesn't love me even though she's spent the last 5 years showing me love in both word and deed"
